We take great pride in the quality and longevity of the landscapes we create. For your peace of mind, all landscaping installation work carried out by Grove Landscaping & Fencing is backed by our two (2) year workmanship guarantee.

This guarantee covers defects arising directly from the installation work completed by our team. If an issue occurs during the guarantee period and is determined to be the result of workmanship, we will return to inspect the work and carry out any necessary remedial work within a reasonable timeframe.

As with all outdoor construction, landscaping materials and ground conditions are subject to natural settlement, weathering and seasonal movement. Minor settlement, natural movement of paving or materials and normal weathering are considered typical characteristics of outdoor landscaping and are not classed as workmanship defects.

Our guarantee applies to installation workmanship only and does not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, accidental damage, extreme weather conditions, ground movement beyond normal settlement, or alterations carried out by third parties.

The guarantee is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires all services to be carried out with care and skill.
 

Scope of work covered

The guarantee applies only to workmanship relating to landscaping elements installed by Grove Landscaping & Fencing, including where applicable:

• Patios, Paving and pathways
• Decking installations
• Fencing and gates
• Retaining walls
• Artifiacial grass installations
• Garden structures installed as part of the project
• Drainage installed by Grove Landscaping & Fencing 

Natural Movement and material characteristics

Landscaping installations may experience natural movement or settlement due to ground conditions and environmental factors. The following are considered normal and do not constitute defects in workmanship:

• Minor settlement of paving or slabs
• Hairline cracking in mortar or pointing
• Natural expansion or contraction of materials due to weather conditions
• Colour variation, weathering, or natural ageing of materials
• Shrinkage, movement, or cracking of timber products

Exclusions

This guarantee does not cover defects or damage caused by:

• Ground movement, susidence, or unstable soil conditions beyond the contractors control
• Flooding, frost heave, or extreme weather events
• Vehicle traffic or excessive loading on areas not designed for such use
• Lack of maintenance or improper use
• Alterations or repairs carried out by third parties.
• Accidental damage or misuse
• Pre-existing site conditions not reasonably identifiable during installation
• Failure of plants, turf, or living materials due to weather, pests, disease, watering, or soil conditions

Materials

Materials used in the installation may carry separate manufacturer warranties where applicable. Grove Landscaping & Fencing does not provide additional warranties beyond those provided by the manufacturer.

Maintenance Responsibilities

The client is responsible for reasonable maintenance of the landscaped areas, including proper cleaning, care of timber elements and maintenance of planted areas. Failure to carry out appropriate maintenance may invalidate this guarantee.

Claims Procedure

If the client believes a defect covered by this guarantee has occurred, they must notify Grove Landscaping & Fencing in writing (this can be email or text) within the guarantee period and provide reasonable details of the issue, including photographs where possible. Grove Landscaping & Fencing reserves the right to inspect the work before undertaking any remedial action.

Limitation

The guarantee is limited to the repair or correction of defective workmanship only and does not include compensation for indirect or consequential losses.
